Management for Chronic Pain
Though there are many reasons for chronic pain, its effects on quality of life are universal: constant pain, stiffness, fatigue, lack of quality sleep, frequent headaches, digestive disorders and depression.
HELPING THE BODY TO HEAL ITSELF, NATURALLY
Massage therapy can be a very effective part of a comprehensive pain management plan. The boost of serotonin that occurs during massage eases pain, and the increased circulation in chronically inflamed tissue improves muscle function. The heart rate and breathing slow down, allowing the body to move out of the sympathetic nervous system (the “fight or flight”) and into the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest”).
Consistent massage has been proven to help clients with fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain syndrome, migraine headaches and orthopedic injuries experience less pain and better restorative sleep.
And the best part? It’s all natural and drug-free. The only known side effect is feeling better.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE THERAPY IN A SAFE, CLEAN, AND PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Clients are welcomed into a peaceful, healing space to take a break from the pace of everyday life. The temperature, music and lighting are adjusted to the client's comfort and proper draping is always used.
